Important Information Regarding COVID-19

Fairview Mall Dental Centre remains open to serve you during the current lockdown.

Dear Fairview Mall Dental Centre patients,

We hope you and your family are safe and well. As you probably know that the Government of Ontario announced a series of modifications and restrictions placing the Toronto and Peel region into lockdown for the next 28 days.

We would like to gladly inform you that the Royal College of Dental Surgeons in collaboration with the chief medical officer of health indicated that dentists can continue to practise during this lockdown as we are considered an essential service.

We want to reassure you that we continue to follow strict COVID-19 Guidelines and protocols that exceed the guidelines laid out by the current Government of Ontario and our regulated Health Colleges and Associations to ensure everyone’s safety.

After the total lockdown back in March, we were able to open back up in April and helped many emergencies, then as of June once it was announced that dentists can fully practise we were able to be fully open performing all types of dentistry and served over 2000 appointments with extreme COVID-19 precautions.

We have been able to serve everyone who passed the COVID-19 screening process in our very safe environment. We will continue to be extremely vigilant when it comes to screening anyone entering our facility and following the high level of cleaning and disinfection protocols.

Our staff is always wearing full PPE’s (gowns, masks, visors, gloves, and hair covers) while treating patients. Our office’s most advanced purifications systems in each room have kept our air fresh at all times with around 30 air exchanges per hour. Our additional inside waiting room has helped up keep social distancing in place at all times.

All patients are required to wear their masks at all times in our office except during the treatment period and are expected to hand sanitize with 70% alcohol base office supplied sanitizer upon entry to our office and exit from the treatment room. In addition to all the surface disinfectant routine that takes place between patients in the treatment rooms and all barrier replaced, We use a fogger: a hypochlorous acid (HOCL) based machine at the end of the day to sanitize the waiting area and all highly touched surfaces to prepare the office for the next day.

We will always be there for you and we will support you every step of the way. I will do everything in my power to keep my patients and staff safe at all times.

These are challenging times and let’s all do our part to flatten the second wave curve so we can have a more normal 2021.
