Infection controls and universal precautions protect clients and staff alike. Everyone benefits from rigorous infection control – you, your dentist, and the dental team. The cornerstone in a good and safe dental practice is the element of trust. You should feel free to discuss this topic with Dr. Zogby and receive a straightforward answer.
Dr. Zogby and our entire team follow procedures recommended by Ontario Dental Association (ODA) and Canadian Dental Association (CDA). These measures include:
- Disinfectant hand soap
- Gloves and face masks
- Chemical disinfection of countertops and surfaces
- Sterilization of all equipment before every use
- Disposable materials
- Surgically Clean Air Purifiers
We sterilize all reusable equipment, including dental hand pieces. We use a Statim, the world leading steam autoclave sterilizer. We also use M11 Midmark Ultraclave, another type of automatic sterilizer that kills bacteria and viruses by steam, and heat. We run a monthly report for biological spore testing analysis through Germiphene to make sure our equipment continues to exceed the accepted standard of sterilization.
Clean Air System
Our proprietory HEPA-Rx filters meet or exceed the guidelines for general surgery applications.
The Surgically Clean Air system offers superior air cleaning through a sophisticated filtration system, high volume air flow capacity and lower sound levels. With Surgically Clean Air Purifiers now in use in my dental practice, I not only have confidence that I am offering a healthy indoor environment, my staff and I are also enjoying the positive vibe and extra energy from the negative ions.
The best defense against disease is information. The more you know, the better equipped you are to make wise decisions about your health care. The more you know about our daily procedures and policies, the more comfortable you will feel.
